“What if we opened the door but we didn’t shut it?”

A24 is an award winning entertainment studio responsible for a plethora of fantastic films that include: Everything, Everywhere All At Once, Uncut Gems, Ex Machina, The Whale and more.  On July 28th they are bringing a terrifying, supernatural horror film to the big screen, “Talk To Me,” it looks creepy as hell.  Co-Director Danny Philippou described the story by saying, “It’s about kids who use demonic possession to get high.”  Wait… what?  I can think of a half dozen OTHER ways to get high that do NOT involve a possession party and do NOT involve demonic possession… but to each their own.

Talk to Me” is the directorial debut of Danny and Michael Philippou and stars: Sophie Wilde, Joe Bird, Alexandra Jensen, Otis Dhanji and Miranda Otto.  Give the trailer a watch and see if it give you the creeps as much as it did for us.

When a group of friends discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand, they become hooked on the new thrill, until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.

Sophie Wild, (Mia) says, “It’s been a year since Mia’s mum’s death.  She feels this sense of disconnect from her dad and so she really invests herself into her surrogate family. Mia sort of gets addicted to using that hand and the euphoria it brings her and then it all goes to s— after that!” (EW)

Sooooo…. would you shake the hand and say the words…”Talk to Me?”  I, for one would absolutely NOT… but I will go to the theater to watch OTHERS embark on this dark journey.
