“I was born with the fantasy that was playing in my mind. I didn’t yet know the world of illustration and I didn’t yet know where this little flaw of mine would take me, but it was clear to everyone that I would grow up with my head in the clouds.

I have experienced extraordinary adventures: I have met bizarre and cynical Roald Dahl characters, I have holed up and lost myself over and over again in Beatrix Potter’s woods and I have spent entire afternoons chasing an unusual and talkative white rabbit. I made up stories, imagined fantastic worlds, observed and drew.

In 2004, I graduated from the art institute of Siena, and then graduated from the academy of fine arts in Florence. Meanwhile my imagination continued to be unmanageable. After a few years of unlikely jobs, after a thousand vicissitudes and awkward somersaults, I managed to turn my passion into a job. I’m Giulia and I’m an illustrator, This is my world.”
