We are back with our second Artist Edition of our ongoing Alternative Movie Poster Monday drop.  This week we are sharing the art of U.K. artist Sam Green.  Here is some background about Sam from his OFFICIAL WEBSITE.

I was born in England but grew up in Wales. Always with a pencil in hand, I have been drawing since before I can remember. Growing up my favourite things to draw were Batman and other TV and movie characters. That love for fantastical characters and exciting films has persisted and evolved as I’ve grown up. Being a lifelong film fan, the sense of wonder that I get from movies has been something I’ve always sought to imbue into my work.

I studied graphic art at Cardiff Art Academy, earning a distinction for a pulpy, vibrant graphic novel that I wrote and illustrated, inspired by B-movies, Spaghetti Westerns, Samurai movies and 70’s martial arts cinema. From here I went on to De Montfort University in Leicester, initially to study Game Art Design before transitioning into Fine Art where I graduated with a degree in 2016.

Formerly the Head of Design for an international children’s book publisher in London, I now freelance full time. As a freelancer I have worked on a variety of projects, ranging from poster illustrations to character concept art, portraits to clothing design – among others.
