We are MASSIVE fans of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” due to its masterful blend of fan-favorite, classic lore and fresh storytelling. Set just before the events of the original 1977 “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope,” this film dives into the untold story of the rebel spies who risked everything and daringly stole the Death Star plans. The movie is a gritty, war-torn journey, distinct from other Star Wars films in its tone and style, yet it beautifully maintains the essence of the universe we’ve grown to love. The characters, led by Jyn Erso, are compelling and complex, each with their own deeply personal reasons for joining the fight against the Empire.
The film pays homage to the original trilogy through subtle nods and Easter eggs, delighting fans, while also introducing new elements like the enigmatic and morally ambiguous Cassian Andor and the sardonically witty droid K-2SO. (#RIPK2SO) The climactic battle scene is a spectacular display of visual storytelling, seamlessly integrating into the narrative arc of the saga. “Rogue One” not only enriches the Star Wars universe but also stands as a testament to the enduring power of storytelling within this beloved galaxy far, far away.
This week we have gone off the rails a bit because there is SO much incredible tribute art for this film and, well, we wanted to share all our favorites. Take a look and let us know which poster(s) are your favorites.
