What happens when a Hollywood powerhouse teams up with comic book superstars to create a futuristic space saga?  The end result is a story called “Arcbound,” the “Hollywood powerhouse” is Tom Hardy and the “comic book superstars” are Scott Snyder, Frank Tieri and Ryan Smallman.

This impressive line-up was absolutely swamped at New York Comic Con where they did an exclusive preview and discussion for this new sci-fi fantasy epic as well as dished out some comic books with exclusive variant covers!  Here is some insight to what looks and sounds like a fantastic series.

“In a future where Earth has become a barren wasteland, the formidable corporatocracy, Zynitec, harnesses the unmatched energy of Kronium to assert its dominion across the stars. The ARCBOUND series chronicles the journey of Kai, a resolute Mediator Captain, tasked with maintaining Zynitec’s lifeline to Kronium. However, as he grapples with the morality of his role, revelations about Zynitec’s dubious past thrust him into a poignant quandary: to remain loyal to the empire or to confront the forces that molded him into a tool of oppression.

At its core, the ARCBOUND series explores a future dominated by technology, where AI reigns and humans can choose their own corporeal forms – delving deep into the essence of humanity, the true meaning of identity, the price of advancement, and the ever-enduring question: Where does our identity reside when our very form can be altered at will?”

KAI:

Kai, a steadfast Mediator Captain, is an unwavering shield of the Zynitec Empire. His loyalty to the empire is rock-solid, founded on the belief in Kronium’s essential role in humanity’s survival. Yet, as the bloodshed from quelling uprisings accumulates, he grapples with the moral cost of the empire’s progress.

XANDER:

Xander, a trusted Captain in the Zynitec ranks, commands respect from allies and instills fear in adversaries. His unwavering dedication to Zynitec is clear, matched only by his fervor against its enemies

 

 

WARR:

Born from the intense trials of Zynitec’s covert Program, WARR stands as an unparalleled force of destruction. Tasked with eliminating all threats to Zynitec, he’s unflinching – even if the danger arises from within the empire’s heart. But what secrets lie beneath that impenetrable armor?

 

GRUSH

Grush, the venerable Mediator veteran, has seen countless battles and wears the scars of time. As Kai and Xander’s superior, his ruthless pursuit of maintaining Zynitec’s dominance comes from carrying the heavy burdens of past choices. The question lingers: how far will he go to ensure the empire’s reign?

LYRA:

In the vastness of cosmic turmoil, Lyra remains Kai’s constant, steadying his soul. Soon to be his life partner, she shines brightly in his stormy existence. Her devotion to Kai parallels her allegiance to the Zynitec empire and its pursuit of supremacy.

 

DR ZON:

A genius in his own right, Dr. Zon is the mastermind behind the groundbreaking ARC suits. Once celebrated by Zynitec, he now finds himself banished, carrying a legacy intertwined with the very origins of the Zynitec program. His ancestry conceals truths that are best left buried.
