Strange Plastic is a new tabletop gaming startup founded by longtime gaming enthusiasts Jared Murnan and Joshua Qualtieri. Bringing years of experience in tabletop game design and manufacturing in pewter, resin and plastic, these passionate gamers are bringing renowned sci-fi and fantasy artist Pascal Blanche’s extraordinary artwork to life in Project: Blackstar!

Blanche’s imaginative, evocative art style has captured the hearts and minds of fans worldwide. Now backers will be able to enjoy a direct piece of Blanche’s stunning vision in their tabletop games or guarding their bookshelves and desks.

At it’s most basic level, Project: Blackstar features plastic and resin 32mm gaming and 75mm collectible miniatures from a Dark Future…  All figures are unpainted so you can create your own vivid or dismal characters as you see fit and each one is incredible as well as highly desirable.  Here is the breakdown from the Kickstarter Campaign.

PROJECT: BLACKSTAR GOAL – $2500

In the cold, indifferent universe, the echoes of humanity’s defiance can be heard. At the heart of Project: Blackstar – the Abyssal Gendarmerie, its members, tempered by the vast cosmic expanse, battle against the eldritch nightmares that lurk in the galaxy’s darkened corners.

Aurélie Valois serves as a Gendarme in Project: Blackstar, representing humanity’s final defense against the enigmatic horrors of the cosmos. Tasked with sealing a malevolent rift known as “Abyss 9,” she courageously leads her team into the terrifying anomaly’s periphery. From the abyss, eldritch entities emerge, their chaotic and shape-shifting forms posing a threat to reality itself.

Searching for a sign of vulnerability within the rift to deploy their quantum stabilizer, Aurélie and her crew must act as both scientist and warrior if they are to successfully mend the fabric of space-time and seal off Abyss 9.

With every dark rift contained and cosmic entity vanquished, the Galaxy Gendarmes stand as a guiding light in the engulfing darkness of space. Leading the charge are heroes like Aurélie Valois, whose indomitable spirit and bravery shine brightest in the ominous expanse of Project: Blackstar.
