We first caught wind of “Pragmata” back when it was announced by Capcom in 2020. Eagerly awaiting its arrival, we were disappointed when they announced it was delayed. Sadly, it was back to the waiting game. Then it completely fell off our radar until this year’s Capcom Showcase where it was once AGAIN… delayed indefinitely! Here is what Capcom had to say in a statement to people like me who have been waiting patiently… not so patiently…
“Heavy hearts” indeed! Old me would have complained profusely but discerning me is like, “Hey, I’ve waited THIS long and after what you’ve shown us, we are fine with waiting.? Speaking of “what they’ve shown us,” check out this trailer and stills.
The trailer shows a young girl, Diana, writing a note whilst a “soldier/ protector” battles and destroys robots that appear to be trying to kill her. Upon the evil robots defeat, Diana drops a note that says, “2022 which is crossed out with an X, 2023 which is scribbled out, and the message saying very sorry with a sad face next to it.” We’re sorry too Capcom but we’d rather get a fully fleshed out game that is 100% ready to consume all our free time for days on end. Diana’s eyes light up at one point in the video hinting that she either interfaces with tech or that she IS tech. Stay tuned, we will let you know more when we hear it.
Here are some stills to show you more of the game.
