February 10th will mark the Chinese Year of the Dragon, with the dragon being a symbol of strength, luck, and wisdom in Chinese mythology.  Nike is celebrating with some new Air Jordan 1 Low OGs that will surely have collectors frothing at the mouth.  They are offering an adult AND a kids edition.  The Air Jordan 1 Low OG GS “Chinese New Year” will drop on January 24, 2024, at select Jordan Brand retailers and on Nike.com available at 7:00 AM

(We NEVER get fortunate enough to snag special Jordan’s so we wish all of YOU the best of luck.)  Let’s take a look at all three versions.

2024 MEN’S YEAR OF THE DRAGON – $160

The Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG ‘Year of the Dragon’ celebrates the Year of the Dragon, featuring an off-white leather upper with scaly green nubuck overlays at the forefoot and heel. Dark crimson accents settle on the laces, Nike Air tongue tag, signature Swoosh, and the Wings logo stitched atop the golden textile back tab.

The interior tongue tag displays a Jumpman intertwined with a dragon, while an ornate Jumpman logo decorates the sockliner. The low-top is mounted on a vintage off-white midsole, supported underfoot by a translucent rubber outsole.

Every pair of Nike’s 2024 Year of the Dragon shoes (Men’s, women’s and kid’s) comes with a red envelope that contains a Jumpman bracelet.

2024 WOMEN’S YEAR OF THE DRAGON – $125

Start the Year of the Dragon in style. This elegant AJ1 has a textured Swoosh logo inspired by the Chinese Zodiac’s only mythological creature. Details like the metallic embroidered Jumpman on the tongue and satin collar-lining bring a hint of shine to the celebration. And don’t forget to open your red envelope—a good luck Jumpman charm is included with every pair.
