DKNG Studios Takes Us Back To The Pizza Shop With Their Retro Arcade Pins

It’s the end of the 70’s and we are in Junior High school in South Portland, Maine.  Most days, after school, we head across the street to a local pizza shop called Angelone’s Pizza.  Not only was the pizza fantastic but this small family run business had arcade games inside.  Tempest, Asteroids and a pinball machine in the corner that seemed to change every 6 months.  We would pump endless quarters into those machines and either get smashed on the spikes or blown to smithereens by some fast moving asteroid or that little prick in the small UFO.

Now it’s 2023, the pizza place is sadly closed but Dan and Nathan from DKNG have released some small pins that remind us just how much we loved those games.  They have released a really great pin set that pays homage to arcade machines from days of old.  Check them out and get yours below.

As children of the 80s we’re big fans of classic arcade games and childhood memories of spending after school afternoons at the local coin-op arcade. So we decided to create our own take on some of our favorite genres of stand-up cabinet games, in the form of enamel pins. Fly, Fight, Build, and Race are all 1” soft enamel pins with black metal finish, heavy duty rubber backing clasps, the extra touch of glitter fills on each cabinet screen. Each Arcade pin is available in the DKNG store for $10 each.
