“It’s not a reopening, it’s a rebirth.”

We hate to admit it but we were late to the game when it comes to season 1 of FX’sThe Bear.”  NO idea how it slipped through the cracks but… after many of our friends finished season 1, they were asking us, “What did you thing about ‘The Bear?‘”  Of course when we responded with, “Huh?  What’s ‘The Bear?” it led to more than one embarrassing conversation where we had to admit we had not seen it yet.  So, like any good pop culture junkie, we jumped in and were so blown away by it, we binged the entire first season in 2 days.

The show had us holding our breath at times, laughing and distraught at other times.  The chemistry of the cast was palpable and we couldn’t start the next episode soon enough as soon as the credits started from the one we just watched.  Don’t even get us STARTED on the season ending cliff hanger either!

Now, on Thursday, June 22nd, FX turns up the heat and brings fans season 2 of this critically acclaimed, award winning series and we will DEFINITELY be there on day one!  Season 2 consists of 10 episodes and ALL 10 episodes will be available on the 22nd so get ready for your next binge session.

Season two of FX’s The Bear, the critically acclaimed original series, follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri) and Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they work to transform their grimy sandwich joint into a next-level spot. As they strip the restaurant down to its bones, the crew undertakes transformational journeys of their own, each forced to confront the past and reckon with who they want to be in the future.

Of course, it turns out the only thing harder than running a restaurant is opening a new one, and the team must juggle the insane bureaucracy of permits and contractors with the beauty and creative agony of menu planning. The transition brings a newfound focus on hospitality as well. As the entire staff is forced to come together in new ways, pushing the boundaries of their abilities and relationships, they also learn what it means to be in service, both to diners and each other.

In addition to Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Ayo Edebiri, the half-hour series also stars Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas and Matty Matheson, with Edwin Lee Gibson and Oliver Platt in recurring roles.

FX’s The Bear was created by Christopher Storer (Ramy, Eighth Grade), who acts as executive producer alongside Joanna Calo (BoJack Horseman, Undone), Hiro Murai (Atlanta, Station Eleven) of Super Frog, Josh Senior and Matty Matheson, with Tyson Bidner (Ramy) serving as producer. The series is produced by FX Productions.
