Newest member to the Poster Posse, Jérémy Pailler is a French visual artist who works in the fields of illustration and animation creating picture books for children, album covers and music videos. One of the things that drew us to his work was his “Horror Genesis Collection.” In the collection Jérémy has tapped into 18 well-known, and not so well-known, horror films and used watercolors to create some unique, haunting images. Here is what he has to say about the collection over on his OFFICIAL WEBSITE.
“Witness the origins of the meanest and yet most attractive villains from
the big screen in this biographical watercolor painting series. Take a
journey to the past and unlock the mysteries behind your favorite
monsters’ darkness.”
Jérémy has done 18 of these fantastical images featuring the big, and little, baddies from films like, Psycho, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Alien, The Thing, Hellraiser and more. The images here are only part of his total collection so go take a look at his OFFICIAL WEBSITE to see the rest of these ghoulish goodies.
This is a definite passion project for Jérémy so stay tuned to see future additions. If there someone from the world of horror that YOU would like to see him do? Hit him up on his brand new TWITTER PAGE HERE and let him know. (Personally, we’re hoping to see one for The Shining.)
