We were sorry to hear that Paul Reubens, Pee Wee, passed away yesterday at the age of 70. What he leaves behind is a legacy of laughter through his movies and his award-winning Saturday Morning TV show, Pee Wee’s Playhouse. The show ran from 1986 – 1990 and topped out at 45 episodes plus a Christmas special.
The show’s opening and ending theme’s was done by Mark Mothersbaugh, (lead singer and keyboard player from DEVO) and the opening was sung by Cyndi Lauper. The show utilized the talents of Laurence Fishburne and Phil Hartman, among others and was a hit with kids AND adults.
