Growing up in Maine, there are certain things that resonate with you.  Amazing lobstah whenever you want it, 4 distinct seasons, and the brilliance of Stephen King.  You’d be hard pressed to talk to any native Mainer who hasn’t read or heard of Mr. King.

Over the years, more than 80 cinematographic adaptations have been released by more than 50 directors who made us vibrate, tremble, and even cry.  The list of films based off his books is impressive, from The Dead Zone, to Carrie, Christine, It, The Shining, The Green Mile, Misery, The Shawshank Redemption, Stand by me and more.

There is a new 90 minute documentary that features directors who adapted Stephen King stories and they will discuss why Stephen King is not only the King of Horror, but the Master of Characters psychology, and more.

This documentary seeks out stories and unique points of view and brings them together for an exciting tribute to Stephen King, his deep knowledge of the human psychology through the characters he created, and to his mastery of narrative and suspense, which has kept us on tenterhooks for more than 45 years !

King on Screen will be hitting the big screen in US cinemas on August 11th and if you can’t make it, fret not, it will them be available On Demand and Blu-ray in the US on September 8th.
