Carlsbad, CA artist N.C. Winters was one of our favorite artists to cover, (we absolutely LOVE his Lepidoptera series,) when we first started our site years ago.  His fantasy, gig, sci-fi illustrations constantly blow our feeble mind so now that we are back, we are here to share more of his work and we are starting with San Diego Comic Con 2023.  Here is what he had to say about this year’s SDCC over on his FACEBOOK PAGE.

• Please note the various limits on items and organize your PB’s (poster buddy) accordingly. I will be holding back a small percentage of some of the exclusives for after #SDCC but your best shot for the rarities is to Be At The Convention. I know not everyone can attend of course, but if you have a friend who’s going, ask them to pick something up for you (that’s what a poster buddy is). Remember to tip them!

• There will also be many, MANY originals available, but I’ll have those in a subsequent post, as well as some images of hand embellished Lepidopteras. Also not shown (due to image limits) are the Groovy Green and Psychedelic Pink holographic rainbow foil and good mirri foil posters. I’ll post those shortly as well, along with some live video showing off the shimmer!

• Hope to see you at the convention, I’m in the exact same spot I’ve been for the past almost ten years (good god, has it been that many?!): booth 4619 in the fantasy and sci-fi illustrators section. I’ll also be painting live at the @barbasicpizza painting night on Thursday, hosted by @disburst, more on that soon as well! Okay! Back to work!
