During today’s Nintendo Direct showcase, the company revealed an all-new, side-scrolling, 2D Mario adventure that will surely have fans of everyone’s favorite Italian plumber scrambling to hit the PREORDER button.

Put on your red hats and step into your blue overalls because this October 20th, Mario is back with an all-new adventure: “Super Mario Bros. Wonder.”  Are you ready for ‘Elephant Mario and Wonder Effects !?’  We can’t wait to spend countless hours dashing, jumping, flying and everything else Mario will be doing in this escapade.  Here is the official word from Nintendo about “Super Mario Bros. Wonder.”

Classic Mario side-scrolling gameplay is turned on its head with the addition of Wonder Flowers. These game-changing items trigger spectacular moments you have to see to believe…Witness pipes coming alive, wreak havoc as a giant spiky ball, and see even more unexpected events called Wonder Effects.

Choose from familiar characters including Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi and Toad. Transform into Elephant Mario to use your trunk to trounce enemies with a surprising new Power-Up!
