It’s Friday which means the weekend is upon us and THAT means, there is a good chance you will spend a good majority of the time on your couch, wearing sweatpants and a hoodie, with the remote control in your hand. We recently stumbled upon a new, seven-episode, limited series on FX called, “A Murder At The World” and we are eagerly awaiting the third episode! (Replace “eagerly” with “impatiently” and you will really know where we are at.)
“A Murder at the End of the World” is a mystery series featuring a Gen Z amateur sleuth and tech-savvy hacker “Darby Hart.” Darby and eight other guests are invited by a reclusive billionaire to participate in a retreat at a remote location. When one of the other guests is found dead, Darby must use her skills to prove it was murder before the killer takes another life.
We’ve watched the first two episodes and instantly loved it. In the official synopsis they mention the story takes place in a “remote location,” and that really doesn’t do it justice. The story takes place in the middle of Iceland and there is NOTHING around for as far as the eye can see which makes the isolation aspect of the show brutally palpable.
The series executive producers are Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij and stars: Emma Corrin (Darby), Harris Dickinson (Bill), Alice Braga (Sian) Brit Marling (Lee) and Clive Owen (Andy).
