“What happens when we find Thrawn?  Power…such as you have never dreamed.”

THIS is the trailer that “Rebels” fans have been waiting for.  The new trailer for Disney Plus upcoming live-action Star Wars series, “Ahsoka” dropped this week and it gets the band back together.  This trailer shows us Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) Hera (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) and a brief glimpse of Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfadi) all from “Star Wars Rebels.”

At this year’s London’s Star Wars Celebration Dawson talked about the series with Ahsoka realizing that a threat is coming as well as a few words about her relationship with Ezra.  “Though she is not a Jedi, she has so much of that at heart for her – she’s driven by trying to do good. She sees a threat other people aren’t seeing. He’s formidable, not somebody to take lightly. She has a sense that there’s something, she knows that these foes are not easily dismissed.

She also said, “Her relationship with Ezra is something that’s really powerful – that’s always present and what continues to drive her, that feeling that, she can do more, she can still be of service.  Someone as capable as she is, she understands her strengths and her weaknesses.” (IGN)

The series is written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is co-executive producer.

Lucasfilm’s “Ahsoka” will launch exclusively on Disney+ August 23 with a 2 episode premier.
