“How scared do you have to be to run out on the ice without any shoes?”

“True Detective” is a mystery-thriller anthology on HBO.  There have been three seasons to date, each one with a fantastic cast of their own.  HBO has just released a new teaser of the fourth installment of the series and it looks to follow in the footsteps of its predecessors.

Season four of the series is called, “True Detective: Night Country” and takes place in the small town of Ennis, Alaska.  As with previous seasons, the cast is exceptional starring Jodie Foster and Kali Reis along with Fiona Shaw, Finn Bennett, Isabella Star Lablanc, Anna Lambe, and Joel D. Montgrand.

“When the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.”

The fourth installment of HBO’s original crime anthology series looks dark and mysterious which is just fine with us.  Foster relentlessly piece’s together clues that point to something more sinister than the official findings of “it was a weather event” as the cause of death of eight men.  With her reluctant partner, Reis, they start to discover that there is more than meets the eye with these bizarre deaths.
