Blade Runner is one of those films that has and will continue to stand the test of time.  We’ve watched it countless times and it still mesmerizes us to this day.  The folks at Annapurna Interactive have something up their sleeves that has us ready to head back to the Blade Runner universe.

From Annapurna Interactive, Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth brings the revered franchise back to games for the first time in 25 years.

Set between the original film and 2049, Blade Runner 2033 takes place after the events of the Blackout and asks: what does a Blade Runner do when there are no Replicants left to hunt?

Lots of people lost things in the Blackout. I was lucky, I just lost a job. But now they want me back.”  The trailer shows an unnamed Blade Runner walking through and abandoned building in dystopian Los Angeles, in a place called the “land of the dead.” (Soooooo spoooooooky.)

Game director Chelsea Hash, (game director for “Solar Ash“) is leading the charge on Labryinth and there is a lot riding on it.  This will be Annapurna’s first in-house game by their new internal studio, so fingers crossed that they, along with Chelsea, can deliver something as memorable as the films. If you wanna stay on top of it, the PC version of the game can  be wishlisted over on Steam so you have THAT going for you…if you are going to play it on PC.

Other than this teaser trailer, not much else is known so stay tuned and we will let you know more as it becomes available.
